“I had Jenn document my Bao Bao’s story. Now I want to share the experience as she is also an exceptional human.

One of the elements of telling a story is photography. She suggested doing a photoshoot in the snow. I thought nothing of it… we usually don’t get that much snow where we live, but the snow that day was 1 foot deep!!! I wouldn’t usually be out in that kind of weather but she was crazy enough to bring her impressive camera out while it was snowing in order to capture Bao during her first snowfall. At some points she was lying in the deep snow waving treats around! Bao loved her so much. Now we are blessed with beautiful photos and a story of our girl that we will treasure.

Dogs don’t live forever, but in a way, telling their story with photos lets us honour them while they are with us. Jenn facilitated this and made it so easy. Writing isn’t my strong point. All it took was having a conversation with her—it was like talking to a friend. She listened and asked questions and genuinely cared. Life and stories are always evolving and I can’t wait for Jenn to be the one to capture the next chapter.
